I have just put over 6k miles on my 1990 Automatic, Water-cooled Vanagon! I received good advice from folks on this list and I wanted to check in. Living in Mexico didn't work out for me but driving and camping there is pretty great. While on the road my other email got wiped out and I lost the addresses of various Vanagon pals.
