As I recall, the same radiator fan is used for all '83-'91, with the
exception of '86-up models with air conditioning. '86-91 with air uses a
larger fan. I'm not sure if this fan is directly backwards-compatble
onto the earlier years, or whether some modifications would be needed.
(Chris, are you saying that it's indeed a direct fit?)
