Subject:Re: On a '85: broken temp gauge/broken fuel gauge/high idle

Tom,

On the broken gauges, the simplest approach is to get a new instrument
cluster from one of the list vendors. I did the same for my '84 several
years ago and it was well worth the cost and aggravation of having to rewire
the 14-pin connector that puts the power and signals into the cluster.

If van has warm idle above 1400 rpm, throttle switch is not working plus
there may be some sort of binding in mechanism. Does the van have automatic
transmission?
