I just talked with a Eurovan owner- 109 hp is correct for the 5-cylinder.
This engine has 140 ft lb or torque @ 2200 rpm.

By comparison my Vanagon  engine ('95 Golf 2.0) has 115 hp @5400 rpm and 126
ft lb of torque @3200 RPM.
