I have! I was doing a tune up on my 85 and pressed against the injector fuel rail, the hoses going into the rail bent down and PPPFFFFFT! out of one hose a nice jet of gasoline shot about 4' in the air. Nice little pinhole. I had it towed to the mechanics that afternoon and had all of the fuel lines replaced. > I've never found the fuel hose to be leaking. > I have found numorous other fuel leaks. > Hose clamps > cigar tubes > plastic fuel supply hose. > > Has anyone ever seen a split or leaking "hose" > ERic > > robertmstewart wrote: > > >So even though my van is gone I really want in industrial strength solution > >to the problem for next time. > > > >The question is whats the best solution? > > > >Are there such things as steel reinforced hoses? > > > >Steel Braided Lines for fuel that are high pressure? > > > >Could the oil filter, oil pump, or oil line ever catch on fire as well? > > > >Robert > >NYC > > > > > > > >
