Ummmm..   yes, i know that. :<)   that's why i put a metal one from a
aircooled van onto my 84, and thats the reason i posted i have some for sale for
those who would like some extra fire-protection..   i said the PICKUP TRUCK
(singlecab/doublecab) vanagons have a totally different, smaller engine lid than the
PASSENGER vanagons.    all the passenger vanagons engine lids are
interchangeable 80-91, whether theyre metal or plastic.
