I think I just took the cover off and was able to change the brake master cylinder. I was loosing pressure and the pedal would slowly go to the floor. >>> Mike Blotz <Mike.Blotz@PEARLIZUMI.COM> 12/24/2003 9:54:20 AM >>> hey ganggot a 87 westie of a friends here. he just bought it and needs a bunch of work done while he's away for holidays. anyway--most is just maintenence--flush fluids etc. anyway--he wants the brake master, clutch master, and clutch slave replaced since his pedels are wimpy to say the least. been searching for procedure on this--ie--best way to get at the buggers. kind of a job i have always regretted doing--but here I am. if someone could steer me to a link with a procedure--or tell me the best ways that have worked for them--much appreciation. bentley is pretty worthless on this issue. almost seems like i need to take the instrument cluster out to get at it--correct? and obviously cover the carpet up real good to minimize mess.much thanks in advancemike
