I went through the same thing several years ago, on my '90 Westy, when I switched to Michelin XC LT4's (sold by Sears) in size 195/75 14. Someone had one of those little pocket guides that listed every possible tire size/vehicle weight, etc. Using that and the info on the sticker and on the tire, and deciding to keep the front/rear pressure differential, I just sort of extrapolated and came up with 38 front and 48 rear (50PSI is max on these tires). I know, not very scientific, but it has worked for me. I just started my second set of these tires after getting 53K miles on the first.
