Make sure you're not sending in HTML mode.  At work we use Microsoft
Outlook...if I reply in plain text mode, it sets the quoted text off
nicely, but if I reply in HTML mode, it tries to do fancy HTML stuff that
gets stripped off by many mailing lists.
