Well, my 89 Westy failed the nitrogen oxide emissions. Over 30% higher than allowed. I was told that is typically caused by a stuck EGR valve but these vehicles don't have one! High NOx is caused by very high combustion temps. Should I back off a little on the timing and run premium gas for the next test or what? It is all stock now. Thanks!
