I just purchased a 87 Syncro and was lucky enough to find all the
maintenance info in the glove box. It has the ID label in the manual and I
was wondering if anyone has a list of the vanagon option codes.

There is a site that lists all the codes for bay window busses and I know
you can get the info for split window era as well. The ones on this website
match up to what my vehicle has (US spec, Cal. emissions, convex right
mirror) but most of the codes aren't on the site.

http://www.type2.com/m-codes/t2mcodes.html

I searched the archives and didn't find anything on the subject. One of the
codes it has, 220, says limited slip for bay window. It would be interesting
to see a list for the vanagon.

Thanks,
Nathan
