for most rare poptop parts try www.poptops.com they should have both styles of parts. I like the ASI straight up style, but the ABS plastic base/top are a little thin and not up to the quality of the fiberglass. the staight up ones don't have skylights (that i've ever seen) in the event you want a better vent. Dan Subject: Re: Straight-up VS. Tilt-up - the best Westy Top Go for the straight up (tilt up, in line) hopefully you'll be dealing with a Westfalia Conversion. I've never had any other type but I know there might be trouble with finding replacement seals, hardware, canvas and other possible parts for 'little known' conversions. Tilt-up - the best Westy Top Just wondering what kind of pop top is considered to be the best and most trouble free. I have seen the pictures of both, but never having owned or operated either, in my idle daydeams which should I consider. The straight-up type appeals, but what are the pluses and minuses of each.
