My 87 vanagon does not have a great detent seems to have the potential to create problems. If I pull into D I sometime do into 2 and if I do not watch it am doing 5000 rpm and hear a whirring sound and say "Oh S$$t" Is there a simple way to fix the detent or do I just have to be careful?
