BTDT two years ago in Tustin CA.  If you can convince the police that
you were cut off for no reason (I was and had good witnesses) you may
not be held 'at fault' by your insurance company.  Strangley enough the
fact that I missed hitting the guy was NOT in my favor.  The fact that I
did hit the center divider and a sign cost his insurance company the
whole bill, street sign and all.
