As I have been wont to say in the past ... Its fizzix ... You can't win You can't break even You can't get out of the game So do the best you can with what you have left. In the end it's all cold grey sand at -273 on the big scale. Work the energy equations to see why hydrogen power is foolish today. Less foolish than electric cars though. Do the math. Understand energy transfer and losses then much becomes clearer. Like mudbugs the meat is in de tails. For our forseeable future portable energy will be fossil fuel. We best adjust the non portable requirements to match more closely those sources that need not be portable so as to conserve those resources that are portable. Ever figger out how much eeelectric extension cord it takes to drive to work. And how you carry it and how you roll it up when you get there. Do the thermo numbers and the answer for now is long dead dinos and various coal extracts. Oh yeah and read the thingy about SUVs and the merkin mentality. p http://www.gladwell.com/2004/2004_01_12_a_suv.html
