After driving for 40 minutes at 60 mph I began to my
van began to feel as if it ran out of goss, a sudden
loss of power and then regained.  It went along fine
for a while until I came to a mountain pass and then
it did it quite a bit.  When I came to a stop my idle
was bouncing from 200 to 1200.  I shut the van off and
restarted and it seemed to idle fine but I did not
drive it until the next day.  It did the same thing
the next day, but only on small climbs.  It may have a
related symptom.  After driving for 1/2 mile or so, I
can hear a "clunk" or "thump" coming from under the
front half of the van.  After turning the van off and
walking to the slider I can hear a loud "clunk" again,
sometimes twice.  Could my loss of power be related?
Fuel issues?  i am puzzled as to where to start.  Any
help would be greatly appreciated.
