The rear vents make me wonder if it really is 80, that has
had major surgery. My 80 Westy simply had metal over the
rear vents instead of the common plastic covers you see on
later models. It seems like this van has the same thing.

It could have been an 80 diesel which would account for the
lower grill, or it has been added for the 6 cyl engine
conversion - assuming the 6 cyl is even right. Of course it
also means they installed a later model westy interior,
later model grill, etc.
