I know that at Honda, you can go in with a code and they will cut a key for you in a few minutes. Is there a similar setup for VW? Yes, but you will need to supply the key code found on the tag attached to the keys originally. The number is also stamped on the side of the lock cylinder. The easiest one to remove is the door lock. If you are lucky, the keys will all match. The downside is someone may have rekeyed the lock before. So the code may not match the lock pins. The local VW dealer or a locksmith with VW's lock codes should be able to cut the key. Most VW dealers in my area will ask for ID and proof of ownership before cutting any keys by code, unless you bring there lock in with you. BenT
