In my opinion the opposite is correct: Yes, Vanagons in parts are much more worth than complete. Yes, Ebay helps making big money with Vanagon parts. BUT: What would happen to all old, rusty Vanagons with optional goodies like (in germany) A/C, Cruise, Powerlocks, power-everything? They go to the crusher, end of story. Its a pity to see the amount of Vanagons melt. But at least all the nice parts can stay alive because of vendors selling used parts (on ebay or anwhere else). I see it as a service to the Vanagon cummunity to save good Vanagon parts by parting out the cars. Especially if they are dented, rusty, cant get smogged etc...theyre old. But the rebuilt Vanagons can be thankful for all the nice parts that are still available as a left-over from unrescuable Vanagons. Raimund
