A friend of mine with a EuroVan has a sun shield that folds out in from the sides. It resembles vertical venetian blinds (with roughly 1 inch between folds) more than a regular silver puffy sun shield (with 6 inch+ folds). It is attached with suction cups on either end of the windshield (the 2 sides pull out and meet in the middle). It's a lightweight fabric type of thing. Does anyone know where to find these? I like it as you can leave it on all the time and totally unobtrusive. -Tolga- >Date: Tue, 9 Mar 2004 19:06:05 -0500 >From: Jonce Fancher <strtbug@ATTGLOBAL.NET> >Subject: Re: vanagon sunshield > >Hi John and others >I own a shop that makes custom sunshades and bras/masks for Class "A" >motorcoaches. im in the process of making a prototype sunscreen for the >68 -79 bus and 80-91 vanagon. i will offer it for inside snap on >installation to match interior snaps for the westi and weekender >interiors. im also doing a no drill opption for the persons that dont >want to drill or install a snap stud into there baby. we even have a >system to snap it directly to the glass (way cool). the Sunsceen is a >90-95% sunblock woven screen for UV protection and will reduce the >interior temps 20 to 35 deg. also the cool part is that in the day time >you can see out but no one can see in. but at night when you turn on >the light in the vehicle you have two options and that is to pull the >curtains or charge admission since they will be able to see in and you >wont be able to see out.
