The place that's selling them here in the US has been making them for quite some time and it sounds like people are happy with them. So now people aren't happy with the price so they want to go over seas to find something cheaper. Well personally that sucks. . .and I would ask anyone doing this to stop and think. Are you really saving money? >> Joe, The point I think is the Bergs are not producing this at this time. So there is no immediate alternative. I'm just as happy to buy them from a guy in Arkansas as one in Capetown, RSA if they make what I need for a reasonable amount of money. The guy who makes these in the UK is just an enthusiast much like Gene Berg started before Gary Berg. I personally will support anyone who is willing to support these old vehicles of ours. As for patriotic duty, the VW part you are buying is not likely made in the US nor is your van to begin with. I have no interest in being a listvendor. Those of you familiar with my activities should know that by now. I asked some questions to the UK list and found this alternative. If you have nay better ideas, my ears are open. BenT
