The key thing was that the metal imbedded in the portion that grips the
top was non-ferrous.  The old/original seal had rusted inside and
swelled and generally looked bad.  Another difference with the
replacement I used was that the sealing portion was sort of a tube (in
cross section) rather than solid soft rubber.

Can't comment on what the BB have but whatever you go with I would
recommend it be the non-rusting kind.
