Usually I have a long list of things I need to do and I plan my year around getting the major ones done before major trips. Inevitably there is some thing that comes up at the last minute and the major trips are undertaken with some trepidation. It's easy to take care of the regular stuff: Oil and filter changes, tire condition, tune up, belts and so forth. One year I did a brake job while on the camping trip. Another year I did a lot of push starting. Another year I had to drive on half a tank of gas because a full tank was leaking like crazy. Another year I had to drive under fifty five because I was throwing oil out at higher speeds. All of these little crises seem to become manifest the day before the trip, even though I've been diligent about doing the repairs I knew I had to make. But so far so good. I always get there and back. '80 Westy John Jensen, Mudbug Pottery mudbug@toadhouse.com , http://www.toadhouse.com
