I have a buddy that runs cooking oil in his 03 New Beetle TDI. Same
performance number as the stock motor, according to a dyno chart he did
recently...!

There was a guy in Alaska that for a few years drove a Rabbit diesel using
discarded cooking oil. He would collect it, filter it, then add 15%
kerosene. Never did hear the long term results of running the engine on this
stuff, but he was around for quite a while.
