It is good to know that the 'lamella window' is a European speciality.  It
is a double pane window with bulging plastic outside, just like the double
pane skylight we have on the Westies.  It is openable in the bottom, kind of
like some American vans' side windows.  It is really good against the heat
and ventillation, which the Europeans are good at.  They don't have homes
with unopenable windows.
