I looked at a 1984 Westy here in Phoenix, and talked to the owner. It was on e-Bay, and he was hoping to get around $3000 for it. It sold for $4750. The final bidder had his high bid set at $6300. It is very bad for those of us who want to get into a Westy and don't have a lot of money. There is a 1989 Westy with 183K miles on it on e-Bay now going for $7585. And I have $4000 to spend. Sometimes I have to wonder what people are thinking. On the other hand, all of you with Vanagons for sale - they are now worth more! Unless you want to sell to me, of course... He was willing to let it go for $5500. Well, it ended up at $10,200. If the buyer actually pays, wow, that is a lot of money for a van. Sure looked sweet. dylan
