You didn't say what you're changing from.

When I bought my '85 Westy, it had (ugh!) passenger tires on it and was all
over the road in a wind.

I put Hakkapeliitta C2 tires all around and the stiff sidewalls really made
a difference.  Getting the proper load range, no matter what brand, will
really make a difference.
