I have mounted my cb antenna on the side of the passenger door. I use a single phase antenna( like a coaxial but only one side) Idrill two holes through the door just infront and below the mirror. This way it does not block view of mirror and you do not have to worry about hitting low lying branches. I use rubber washers against the metal bracket to avoid damage to the door and stainless steal or zinc cozted bolts to prevent corossion stains. I always brush on a little primer over the whole to prevent rust and frction nuts to prevent loosening. Good luck PatrickPS I get excellent reception using this method.
