I just had to laugh when I saw your post. I have always found that , no
matter how fast I am driving my Westy or my 78 Bus, people love to tailgate
those things. If I am going 75mph they crawl right up behind me and you can
tell they are just itching to pass! (I have a little sticker on the back
that says "I'm givin her all she's got Captain!") I have come to the
conclusion that VW vans just look slow so people are automatically ready to
assume they need to pass them. My only consolation comes from the current
state of a leaky pushrod tube that sprays a fine mist of 40-weight on the
front end of those tailgaiters!
