You're just a stone's throw away from us in the San Francisco Bay Area. I was
in your neck of the Sierras 3 weekends this past month.

During one of those visits, I ran into a neat little shop tucked away in
Central Truckee. It's called Past & Present Automotive. Can't remember the contact
info though. The owner, Chris (don't remember his last name) used to be a
Colma resident. Worked with some of my local VW shop buddies. Supposed to be a
good mechanic. He's been doing Subaru conversions into Vanagons and Syncros "up
thar in tham heeyels".
