Bones was excessively noisy, so I robbed the almost silent fuel pump off of Long John. HOwever, that same quiet fuel pump is also very noisy on B. Bones. What gives? How can it be silent on one bus and so noisy on another? Mounting brackets are the same, connections seem the same ... > > What gives? > > Warren Lail > 88 Westy "Billy Bones" > 87 GL "Long John" Sounds like restricted flow of fuel through the pump (pump is cavitating/air bound). Check the fuel filter, and see if there is junk coming from the gas tank clogging things up. BTW, the fuel pump is cooled by the fuel, if the flow is restricted it will shorten the life of the pump considerably. Don in Phoenix, AZ
