Subject:Re: Cleaning fuel injectors

Hi Volks,
It was me who just had my injectors cleaned. If you go to www.injector.com
you will see some of the special equipment used to do this. I don't think
it's a do it yourself kind of job unless you can get those tools cheap which
I don't think is going to happen. I was also told that most injector
cleaners in a can just clean the crap out of your tank and filter and put
them into your injectors. Mine were orginal with 123k on them. They were
really dirty the van still ran good, but now runs much better more lower end
torque. I figure I should be good for another 120K out of them as long as I
keep changeing the filter. I was told the bosch injectors are very reliable.
Worth just paying the $130 +/- every 17 years to me and I'm cheap :)
Good Luck
Kevin

Reconditioning of F/I needs doing in the proper environment with the
right tests completed. pressure check, flow rate, spray pattern, timing,
etc. Can't do that except on a properly set up test bench.
