since we are on the subject of leather wrapped steering wheels  -   i have a
factory black leather wrapped steering wheel from a '89 Jetta GLI that has
been adapted to fit the vanagon steering column..there are no mods necessary to
mount this - the diameter of the mounting hole on the steering wheel has
already been adapted to fit right on the vanagon column, the turn signals will
cancel perfectly, and the horn will operate just like stock.    i had this in my
own van, i just recently put a factory leather wrapped steering wheel from a
Blu.. um 89 wolfsburg i am parting out and have decided to use that instead.
anyway wheel is in nice shape, clean, and stitching is good..  $75 takes it.
like i said, its a bolt on deal.   no mods needed..
