Many years ago I attended a "Highlander" convention (Highlander was several movies and a couple of TV series dealing with Immortals than can only be killed if you remove their heads, usually with a bladed weapon). One of the actors on the show was a Welsh actor, Peter Wingfield. Various attendees were asking the actors (sitting at a table) various question. Except all of the questions were being directed towards Jim Byrnes (another actor on the show). Finally one lady got up and said: "I have a Peter question." The laughter was quite sustained. So she tried to rephrase it. "I have a question about your sword." This kept the foliks rolling for another long while. Another rephrasing to refer to this sheath (scabbard) didn't stop things. In the meantime, Peter Wingfield looked quite lost. Jim Byrnes finally leaned over and explained to him the slang meaning of "Peter". Just a reminder that not all english speaking cultures have the same slang terms.
