In my 87 two are mounted on the bottom front left side of the front passenger seat, and one each in the back by the table - i.e., if you're sitting facing the rear, it's on your right, if you're in back facing the front, on your left, and the remaining one for the right rear passenger.

I got my hands on some of the fold-out cup holders that Bus Depot sells.  The
question is, where did these attach in those fancy-shmanzy Carat / Bluestar /
Wolfsburg / whatevers -- to the sides of the battery wells?  To the dash?
