Thanks for the all of the suggestions. I'm still on the fence though. Yes, I agree that the van can swallow lots of gear, both inside, and in the luggage rack. However, I still have designs on a small trailer for luxuries on a longer (timewise) trip. Things like a 20lb propane tank, BBQ, giant cooler, bikes, firewood, folding picnic table, side tent etc etc. Almost all of the locally available small utility trailers have those miserable 8" rims/tires. This week's Canadian Tire Flyer has one on sale for $299 Canadian (regular price $349). Oh well...think about it some more I guess :) Tom On Sat, 2004-04-17 at 12:39, John Carpenter wrote: > Hi Tom & All ! :) > That's just what I'm considering doing. > Northern Equipment has a 4x4 W/ a larger tire option. > Then, one of those big car top carriers, like sears has, bolted to it. > Maybe even a Macco color coordinated paint job? > Have a great weekend, love the wife, don't yell @ the kids, kick the dog, or > get your big toe into the lawn mower!!! :) > JC... > > In a message dated 4/17/04 8:01:43 AM Mountain Daylight Time, > tjdurkin@TELEPORT.COM writes: > My son used one, get the bigger tires, the rpm of the small > ones is too high for long term use. > Tom > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Tom Rowsell" <86westy@NS.SYMPATICO.CA> > To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> > Sent: Saturday, April 17, 2004 6:51 AM > Subject: Small 4'x4' Utility Trailer suitable ?? > > > > Hi all: > > > > I'm just wondering if anyone has used one of those cheap > 4' x 4' Utility > > Trailers.
