On my 85 vanagon gl I have metal coolant pipes that run front to back etc. These pipes are very corroded and need replacing. Since the engine and tranny are out of the vehicle at the moment I thought this would be a good time to do this. My question is should I replace them with the original steel or could I replace with stainless steel? A much cheaper alternative is aluminium piping. napa sells both but aluminium is about one quarter the cost (about$25.00 Can). Any thoughts greatly appreciated Patrick 85westy Appin,Ont
