This is a pretty easy job to do. The splash guard is not removed. Use something to prop up the engine. Remove the four bolts that hold the carrier on each side. Remove the lower attachments from the outer mounts - since they are at an angle. Remove the upper attachments (8mm nuts via universal 13mm socket) from the inner mounts. Carrier comes right out. Remove upper attachments from outer mounts to remove them. Re-install in reverse order. Should take about 60-90 minutes. I know I need to support the motor with a jack and some wood and pull the cross bar but how do I get the the bolts under the main pulley and under the water pump? Do I have to pull the whole splash gard? What tools will fit in there? Do I need some swivels or something? Thanks Kevin 87 Westy Burlington VT --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
