FWIW, I did the big brake upgrade on my 87 syncro westy and I'm very
satisfied with the results.
Additionally, the front disc brakes (rotors, calipers and pads) I removed
from the van are in fine shape and they are for sale to anyone who is
willing to offer a reasonable dollar amount.

The pads were almost new and the discs have plenty of life left on them.
