Remember that most all BLM land in the West has an open camping policy - and there's a lot of that! This is some of the best camping - remote, self sufficient. -----Original Message----- From: Stan Wilder [mailto:wilden1-1@SBCGLOBAL.NET] Sent: Monday, May 17, 2004 1:15 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Re: cross country camping suggestions?? Who are the Wal Mart customers at your neighborhood Wal Mart? Well guys I'm not so impressed with the customers at any Wal Mart I've ever been to. I don't want to meet any of them at 2AM in the morning in a Wal Mart Parking lot. If you can't afford a secure campsite then just put your trip off until you can. If there are four burly guys traveling with you then just go whenever and wherever you want. Don't put your family in danger just to save a few bucks.
