Yep, "aging vehicles and aging owners" sums it up.  I was 39 with an 8 and
10 year old when I bought this van, my second Westy.  First road trip in
this one was to Disneyland, a perfect inaugural trip. It's still a great
camper, especially given the affordable options.

And, yes, after 18 years of memorable trips it will be sad to see it go.
