Thanks Mark ... that's a big part of the answer I've been looking for.
Still, looking for the bit about how I can get the panel to activate
though. I realize, from the VW manual, that the water level section of the
panel deactivates when the water level goes below specific amount and as I
haven't tested and filled the water tank yet I don't expect it to be active
but the battery level indicators should be working.
