So it looks like replacing the rear main seal didn't stop my oil leak. After taking a closer look, it seems the oil is also leaking from the bottom of the case, at the seam. I'm assuming I didn't seal the case well enough when I put it together about 1 month ago. I used that little tube of yellow liquid stuff that came with my gasket set. I guess it didn't work. I talked to a guy I know who builds racecar motors for bugs, and he uses black RTV silicone. He told me to use it when I put my motor together the first time, but I didn't listen. Another guy told me he used to seal air-cooled cases with a piece of string, and they never leaked. So my question is, what is the best stuff to use? I don't think I'll be using that yellow liquid stuff this time, unless someone tells me that's the way to do it. I remember I put it on lightly. I didn't want to use too much. Anyway, please give me some advise, since I'll be pulling my motor and taking it apart tomorrow. Thanks. _________________________________________________________________ FREE pop-up blocking with the new MSN Toolbar get it now! http://toolbar.msn.click-url.com/go/onm00200415ave/direct/01/
