Date: Mon, 14 Jun 2004 07:13:44 -0700 (PDT) From: michael sifuma <sifuma2002@yahoo.com> Hi, i read the explanation on the working of the ve pump, on the net.I have a va pump that is driving me nuts.It has suddenly refused to work. After fixing my piston rings and fuel filters my case ih 533 tractor won't fire on the number 3 cylinder! The line is frothing instead of producing a pure diesel stream. Can i get a detailed diagram on the working of this series of pumps? Is there a cloged vent, valve or why won't the distributor head fill with diesel?I have checked and even replaced my fuel lines and filters to no avail. Mike in Naivasha,Kenya. The only thing I can think about is that there is a leak somewhere. From the distributor (Verteiler-) head the high pressure diesel goes through the valves, injection line and injector. Did you try to take a known good valve (e.g. from one of the other cylinders) injector and line and put on number 3, then observe if the spray pattern looks good? Otherwise I don't know. I think various subassemblies including the distributor head and plunger can be bought separately as a service part if there is a problem in the pump itself. Good luck, /Martin
