Coming home and opening the enginebay, it all made sense. 

The flaps are stuck in open position. I need to find out if it is because of gone t.stat, or somebody mis.adjusted the wire.

That will also give me an opportunity to take a closer look at the heat exchangers, as well as where all that darn oil is dripping from........

BTW. Vanagaon is a lot easier to work on than a Citroen;
