Subject:necessary to bleed rear heater after removing/installing?
From:Andrew Gies

Hey Everyone,

I replaced the o-ring on my rear heater yesterday - and I am wondering about
bleeding the heater when I start the van up again. Is this necessary or
will it "water-hammer" if I don't? I blocked off the inlet and outlet
lines, so I only lost the coolant that was in the heater core.

Also the little white plastic bleeder screw broke in half when I tried to
unscrew it yesterday. I left the part that broke off where is was and
screwed the top half back in tightly. Can this part be purchased relatively
cheaply from the dealer? Does anyone know the part number?

Thanks for all the help!

Andrew
