I'm not considering a conversion but have been reading many kits and options. Everyone talks about how much torque is in the slow 1.9L and 2.1L Vw engines and there are many reasons to want a better (bigger) engine. How can a VW jetta 2.0 engine be a solution? Our 2000 Vw jetta engine is a high revving noisy powerless solution. There is no low end torque and it doesn't even boogie until you get over 3000rpm. Are the conversion engines geared, camed, injected and managed different to the Vanagon's needs?
