I guess i will ask AVP or Ron about that, this engine is still on warranty.

I also have to solve an engine flat spot..... at a stop sign, we have kind
of a small hesitation, like a bad timming or open valves....anyway, my 1.8
AC as more power for now.... so i feel that after 300miles power should be
close to normal....

There is many small problems, fan second speed kicking everytime when temp
is still low, but the temp gauge show 2/3???? but my infrared temp shows
normal temp... anyway, the rad sensor and the dash temp sender need to be
check or replace....

I have seen that kind of stupid vanagon problem on other vangaon, it seem
like VW cannot built equal quality parts.......
