Made myself a trailer hitch for my '90 Carat.  Total cost for 2"x2"x1/4" support
bar about 42-1/2" inches long, and 2" receiver hitch material about 10" long was
$22.00.  Took about a half day to do the job.

Seems more than adequately strong - I can jump up and down on the receiver (240+
lbs) and can't detect any give.
