Hello All, Hoping you can head me in the right direction. Here are the stats: 87 wolfsburg, 2.1 liter, 164k miles, original heads and gaskets, leaks a little in cold weather still holds steady mileage at 17-18/gal, good power, climbs hills in 3rd oil changes every 2 to 3k , using valvoline 20/50 since 120k The question: Lights for alt, oil, and coolant all light at same time, pull over right away, look into engine an find primary belt in shreds. Seems to be the obvious solution. Always carry a spare and tools so I get it changed on the spot. It starts, everything looks good, as I would expect. A short way down the road oil light comes on with the warning buzzer again, shut it down and pullover. Everything "looks OK". I start and the same thing happens. Oil level is ok, no oil in coolant, no coolant in oil, I cannot find any clues. I start it out of gear and watch, revving the engine and holding it for a little while, things look and sound OK. But as soon as I get in and begin driving, oil lamp and warning buzz engage. Could it be a faulty sensor? Dennis
